I got my first Brazilian wax on 4th March, 2022 and went for the second wax on 12th April, 2022.
Although it had been five weeks since I waxed, my hair growth was insignificant and bearable.
My Mons pubis was very patchy with more hair towards the center. The sides had strands of hair and the top barely any hair. What an uneven hair distribution!
My hair strands were smooth and not as thick as before waxing. Hard to believe but down there was not itchy at all and I only got two ingrown hairs.
Waxing versus shaving
Waxing is more uncomfortable and costly than shaving. Plus, you should stick to waxing when you start.
You most probably will have sex with your “bushy” privates on some days. Such a downfall of waxing!
I used to shave my private region weekly due to the constant hair growth so of course the area got hyperpigmented. I also got ingrown hairs and cuts and a little bleeding at times.
Shaving can be done independently at any time with no need to book an appointment.
Shaving saves you time and comes in handy when you want to get rid of pubic hairs quickly especially when you want to do a “quickie!”
TMI
When I shaved, my Mons pubis would be extremely itchy with each new hair growth. The feeling made me want to “gratter!”
Call it too much information (TMI) but down there would sometimes have a musty smell if I allowed the hair to grow pass two weeks. Do not ask for the days I perspired profusely.

Tessa- my esthetician asked if I had shaved and was in such disbelief that she asked if I was sure that I had not.
She could not believe that my new hairs were only beginning to form in some places.
She mentioned that I should wait 2-3 months in between my wax. Most of my new hairs had not grown back yet so waxing so soon was unnecessary.
That I had figured out but I wanted to wear a two-piece on all my outings!
Full Brazilian wax experience number 2
I had mentally prepared myself the night before for the “ouch and I” following each pull.
To my surprise, the experience was much better. It was completely different from the first.
I was still a bit uncomfortable with being fully naked in front Tessa but the feeling was not as horrible as before.
The wax lasted for about 15 minutes. This time I waxed my belly, Mons pubis, anus, armpits and lower legs.
My palms were as sweaty as the previous time but my entire body did not perspire nor did I feel any peculiar sensation. My eyes were not watery this time around!
I did not bleed at all, had no irritation, bruising, redness nor tenderness and I felt no discomfort whatsoever.
Done so soon? I rubbed the cucumber oil on my Mons pubis to soothe the area and was ready to head to the swimming pool!
I did not feel any irritation when I got dressed compared to the slight irritation I felt the first time.
Words cannot describe
My Mons pubis looked much lighter the second time I waxed. It was smooth and did not look like a hairless chicken.
There is a freshness associated with waxing. Down there always feels nice, light and like air is always passing through. Looks as good as a newborn’s.
I feel like underneath my clothes is sexy. It is an odd way to describe how it feels!
This time was not as scary as the first time. No torture or discomfort. It was just worth it!
Desperation
I was desperate to get waxed because I had to engage in multiple water activities that same week.
I could have spent another two weeks before getting waxed but I did not want to have hair strands poking from my bikini.
Imagine, I was able to go to the swimming pool with ease that same day. I felt no irritation when I got out of the pool.
